Job summary

The City of Bloomington seeks a Public Health Program Supervisor to lead Emergency Preparedness, SHIP, and community resilience initiatives across Bloomington, Edina, and Richfield. You will manage grant programs, budgets, and strategic partnerships to improve population health.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating with the Emergency Manager, and reporting program impact to MDH. A strong background in public health leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in public health or related field with three years of relevant experience.
• At least two years in leadership roles overseeing staff and programs.
• Two+ years overseeing grants, budgets, and grant deliverables.
• At least one year in public health sector within government.
• Understanding of emergency preparedness, risk reduction, and recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Manage Emergency Preparedness & SHIP team and related staff.
• Oversee development and implementation of community resilience initiatives.
• Provide grant budgeting oversight, invoicing, and MDH reporting.
• Coordinate city emergency planning with the Emergency Manager.
• Foster relationships with internal/external stakeholders to advance programs.
