Job summary

University of New Orleans is seeking a qualified program coordinator to support the implementation and management of statewide chronic disease prevention initiatives. In this role you will assist with grant activities, budgeting, and reporting, and coordinate with the surveillance team to ensure timely data management and reports.

You will also help develop resources, engage community partners, and support contract execution with consulting or professional services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree with 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional work experience.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills; effective organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in the use of Zoom, Teams, and Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation and management of statewide programs for the Bureau of Chronic Disease Prevention and Healthcare Access (BCDPHA).
• Assist with grant activities, including writing grant applications, budgeting and reporting.
• Coordinate with the surveillance team to ensure data management plans and surveillance reports are submitted on time.
