Georgia Department of Public Health Coastal Health District is seeking a qualified professional to collaborate with health specialists and civic groups to identify community health needs and develop goals. The role involves conducting surveys, building partnerships with public and voluntary agencies, and planning educational opportunities for diverse populations.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience, or one year at Healthcare Program

Qualifications

• Strong communication, relationship-building, collaboration, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience performing work related to the area of assignment or one (1) year at Healthcare Program Consultant 2 (HCP091) or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Collaborates with health specialists and civic groups to ascertain community health needs, determine availability of services, and to develop goals.
• Conducts community surveys to ascertain health needs, develop desirable health goals, and determine availability of professional health services.
• Develops and maintains cooperation between public, civic, professional, and voluntary agencies.
• Plans and provides educational opportunities for target populations and communities.
• Prepares and disseminates educational and informational materials.
• Promotes health discussions in schools, industry, agencies and in communities.
• Provides information to the public regarding health concerns and resources.
• Coordinates activities with department managers and travels within the 8-county service area; occasional weekend work.
