Job summary

Required is a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or related field with at least three years of professional experience; licensure as a Dietitian and Maryland nutritionist licensure are expected at appointment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, nutrition education, dietetics, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in human nutrition or dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, implements and conducts programs providing professional nutrition services.
• Supervises subordinate staff.
• Develops and implements the nutrition education component of public health programs.
• Conducts studies of local nutritional needs and resources.
• Provides advice, consultation and guidance to human service providers, community organizations, and individuals regarding nutrition.
• Researches, prepares and presents reports on nutrition and related health topics.
• Researches and responds to requests and inquires from the public and staff.
• Assist in developing grant proposals and justifications.
• Prepares and administers program budgets.
