Job summary

The Mayor and City Council of Baltimore is seeking a Nutrition Technician Supervisor to monitor compliance with nutrition program guidelines and coordinate educational activities. You will supervise nutrition technicians, aides and office staff, with moderate supervision from an administrator.

The role is primarily in an office/clinic setting, with possible client home visits and occasional weekend work. Requires a bachelor’s in nutrition and two years of counseling experience, plus CP Authority

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 15 credit hours in food and nutrition.
• Two years of experience providing nutrition counseling.
• Associate of Applied Science in Dietetic Technology may substitute for education.
• Within nine months, CP Authority certification required for WIC program.

Responsibilities

• Monitor compliance with nutrition program guidelines and coordinate nutritional education.
• Supervise nutrition technicians, aides and office support personnel.
• Work may involve visits to clients’ homes and weekend work.
• Maintain records and prepare narrative and statistical reports.
