Job summary

Tuscarawas County Health Department in Ohio seeks a Director of Nursing to lead Public Health Nursing Programs and Medical Office Services. You will oversee PHAB duties, strategic planning, and performance management while supervising staff and collaborating with the Medical Director.

Responsibilities include securing community grants, aligning nursing practice with state rules, and guiding program development within approved budgets and policies. Strong leadership and communication required.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Ohio.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of public health/community health experience or Master’s with 3 years.
• Three years of supervisory/management experience in health settings.
• Experience in grant development, implementation, reporting, and compliance oversight.
• Valid driver’s license and knowledge of OAC/ORC related to disease investigation.
• Credentials ongoing: NIMS ICS 100-800 within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead Public Health Nursing Programs and Medical Office Services.
• Oversee PHAB duties, strategic planning, and performance management.
• Collaborate with Medical Director to assess, plan, organize, and implement medical services.
• Seek, write, and implement grants for community health.
• Direct supervision of staff and compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate budgets, staffing patterns, and program effectiveness.
