Job summary

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health seeks a Public Health Nurse Supervisor to lead programmatic services and public health initiatives. The role requires a Bachelor’s in nursing, Ohio RN license, CPR, and at least five years of public health nursing experience with leadership responsibilities.

The position involves budgeting, grant writing, data analysis, and coordination with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• Ohio RN license and CPR certification required.
• Minimum five years public health nursing experience; managerial experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and insurance at time of appointment.
• Strong communication, leadership, and budgeting skills; HIPAA knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership to staff in programmatic services.
• Develops and evaluates public health programs and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Writes grant applications and manages program funding.
• Manages staff performance and hiring processes.
• Prepares budgets and monitors expenditures for programs.
• Leads multisector partnerships and coordinates program activities.
• Represents CCBH on committees and with external partners.
• Maintains quality improvement and promotional initiatives for programs.
