Dallas County is seeking a Health Nurse Specialist in the Health Communicable Disease area. You will supervise nursing and support staff, plan and implement quality services, and liaise with outside agencies to protect public health.

Responsibilities include guiding staff, educating providers and the public, tracking disease trends, and contributing to policy development and emergency preparedness plans. Requires TX RN license and a BSN with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of professional work experience, including one year in a supervisory role.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

Responsabilités

• Interprets and implements agency policies and program goals, directing staff.
• Provides consultation and education to health care providers and the public.
• Coordinates health programs and builds relationships with other agencies.
• Identifies trends/outbreaks and reports activities and statistics.
• Develops policies for disease control and emergency preparedness.
• Makes staff assignments, hires, conducts evaluations, and handles budgeting.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
