Job summary

The Wilcox County Health Department is seeking a nurse leader to direct and supervise community nursing programs. You will coordinate with district offices, manage budgeting for county health efforts, and act as the primary contact with community partners to advance public health goals.

Qualifications include an RN license in Georgia with CPR certification and either an associate degree with PHN training or a bachelor’s degree with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing plus 1 year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within 1 year; Georgia RN license and CPR.
• Or Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 4 years RN experience, 2 years in admin/supervisory role; Georgia RN license and CPR.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise program plans for client/population-based nursing services.
• Coordinate health department programs with District Health office and funding guidelines.
• Supervise public health staff and manage county public health budgets.
• Serve as local public health contact for community agencies and partners.
• Coordinate Board of Health meetings and communications.
