The Wilcox County Health Department is seeking a nurse leader to direct and supervise community nursing programs. You will coordinate with district offices, manage budgeting for county health efforts, and act as the primary contact with community partners to advance public health goals.
Qualifications include an RN license in Georgia with CPR certification and either an associate degree with PHN training or a bachelor’s degree with supervisory experience.
This position is located in Wilcox County
Under limited supervision, directs and supervises program plans for the client/population-based nursing services of the Wilcox County Health Dept. Coordinates health department programs and activities with District Health office in accordance with programmatic and funding guidelines. Provides supervision of public health staff and manages county public health budgets. Serves as local public health contact for community agencies and partners. Coordinates Board of Health meetings and communication.
Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one (1) year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse 3 (HCP192) or position equivalent.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and four (4) years of experience as a Registered Nurse, two (2) years of which in an administrative or supervisory capacity and a current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
Bachelor’s degree and supervisory/administrative experience is preferred.
