Job summary

The Northeast Health District is seeking an experienced Public Health Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing operations at the Walton County Health Department (Loganville). This role provides clinical leadership and supervises nursing staff to deliver preventive public health services.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership and communication skills, experience with Immunizations, WIC, Family Planning, and EHR systems, and can mentor staff while maintaining patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing and one year of nursing experience with PHN coursework within one year of hire.
• Current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification.
• BSN preferred and supervisory experience in public health.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff to deliver safe, patient-centered public health services.
• Plan and oversee daily clinical operations ensuring policy and protocol compliance.
• Provide direct nursing care when needed, including immunizations and health education.
• Monitor quality, documentation, and regulatory compliance through QA/CQI activities.
• Support staff orientation, training, and professional development.
