  • Monitor program performance, staffing, budgets, and fiscal processes to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, clinical standards, and organizational policies.
  • Promote quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to strengthen public health initiatives.
  • Assess community health needs and collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that improve health outcomes.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness and public health response activities as needed.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that supports employee development and exceptional customer service.

Job description

The Northeast Health District is seeking a dedicated and experienced County Nurse Manager to lead the Jackson County Health Department. This position provides leadership and oversight for clinical operations, public health programs, staff, and administrative functions while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered public health services. The County Nurse Manager collaborates with healthcare providers, community partners, local organizations, and district leadership to assess community health needs, strengthen public health initiatives, and improve the overall health of the community.

Work Schedule

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Job Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of nursing experience and completion of a PHN course within one year of hire and current Georgia Registered Professional Nurse license and CPR certification; ORTwo (2) years of experience at the lower-level PH Registered Nurse Supervisor (HCP193) or position equivalent.
