Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health – Wilcox County is seeking an experienced registered nurse to direct and supervise client/population-based nursing services. You will coordinate programs, supervise staff, and manage county public health budgets, serving as the local contact for community agencies and partners.

Requirements include a Georgia RN license, CPR certification, and either an associate degree with 1 year nursing experience plus PHN coursework within 1 year, or a bachelor’s degree

Qualifications

Associate degree in nursing with 1 year of nursing experience and PHN course within 1 year, or 2 years at PH Registered Nurse 3 level or equivalent.
Current Georgia RN license and CPR certification.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing with 4 years RN experience, 2 years in administrative or supervisory capacity, and GA RN license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Directs and supervises program plans for client/population-based nursing services in Wilcox County.
Coordinates health department programs with District Health office.
Supervises public health staff and manages county public health budgets.
Serves as local public health contact for community agencies and partners.
Coordinates Board of Health meetings and communication.
