San Francisco Department of Public Health seeks a HEALTH NETWORK DIRECTOR to guide care delivery and population health strategy within a fully integrated system, aligning services, revenue, and outcomes. The role drives operational excellence across hospitals, clinics, and community care with a focus on equity and sustainability.

The Director reports to executive leadership, leads cross-functional teams, and partners with city departments to advance population health, access, and quality care

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Hospital Admin, Nursing, Public Health Admin, Public Admin, Public Policy, Business Admin, or related field.
• Requires at least five years of senior health administration experience.
• Possession of a valid medical license may be required.
• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of qualifying experience may substitute for the master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Sets the care delivery and population health strategy with clear goals and metrics.
• Integrates care across settings to reduce fragmentation and connect clinics, hospitals, home-based care, HIV services, and street teams.
• Uses data and performance insights to manage populations and track results over time.
• Builds and leads a strong, integrated team across the network to operate as one system.
