Job summary

Mérieux NutriSciences Dietary Supplement Testing North America in Madison, WI is seeking a Microbiology Technician to support routine sample prep, plating, incubation and data entry in a controlled laboratory setting.

You will handle analysis using LIMS, maintain documentation, and follow safety policies while contributing to timely testing results. Associates degree or 1+ year experience, with a 19.50 USD per hour rate and a Tuesday–Saturday shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent with 1+ year relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree.
• Basic science knowledge to perform testing procedures and obtain accurate results.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for analysis by recording, weighing, and blending.
• Identify plates with client and sample numbers for traceability.
• Use pipettes to transfer sample solutions according to procedures.
• Pour agar into plates or tubes to initiate growth.
• Incubate plates and maintain specified time and temperature.
• Prepare media and broth for pathogen testing as required.
• Maintain readiness of materials for the next testing sequence.
• Maintain documentation and use LIMS to enter data accurately.
• Set up equipment and materials for analysis and read plates to count organisms.
• Support quality improvement programs and maintain safety protocols.
