Job summary

Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) invites a WIIN Program Intern to support lead testing initiatives in schools and child care facilities across Arizona. You will help with outreach, education, data management, and program coordination under a supportive leadership team.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in public health or related fields, with strong communication and organizational skills, and an interest in health equity and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree with interest in public health.
• Experience in program management or coordination (volunteer/internship).
• Interest in public health, children's health, or environmental health.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize schools and child care facilities for lead testing using a health equity lens.
• Support outreach and communication with schools to increase awareness and participation.
• Develop and update educational materials and program resources.
• Provide technical assistance during enrollment and testing processes.
• Track program participation and key metrics.
• Assist with data management and improve tracking tools.
• Review program data to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with the team on new ideas and strategies for the program.
