Job summary

The Department of Public Health in Georgia seeks an Informatics Business Support Analyst 3 to support financial operations for PHIG grant programs. The role focuses on budgeting, reporting, and analysis to guide leadership decisions and ensure grant compliance.

You will manage budgets across multiple partner programs, prepare monthly and annual financial reports, and collaborate with program managers to align activities with approved grant scopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university AND three (3) years of experience related to area of assignment.
• Experience with grant budgeting, grant expenditures monitoring, and ensuring expenses align with approved budgets and deliverable.
• Experience preparing budget reports, financial summaries, forecasts, and management reports.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to analyze financial data.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Ability to proficiently use state accounting and financial systems (i.e. GA@WORK).

Responsibilities

• Review grant policies and CDC guidelines to ensure proposed activities align with PHIG requirements.
• Maintain and update program workbooks to track budgets, expenditures, and funding.
• Monitor the General Ledger for inconsistencies and coordinate corrections.
• Develop monthly budget reports for the program.
• Provide financial reports and information to support planning and leadership decisions.
• Coordinate fund reallocations and budget revisions with program staff.
