Job summary

The Fulton County Board of Health in Atlanta seeks a PH Envir Compl Specialist 2 in the Environmental Health Services Division to inspect food service establishments, public pools, tourist accommodations, body art establishments, and onsite sewage systems, and to investigate related complaints.

Bachelor's degree with 27 semester hours in laboratory sciences and one year of experience at the PH Envir Compl Specialist 1 level or equivalent is required; agency certifications may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, geology, physics).

Responsibilities

• Inspect various types of food service establishments, public swimming pools, tourist accommodations, body art establishments, and onsite sewage management systems.
• Investigate complaints related to rodents and mosquitoes within regulated facilities.
• Review plans and recommend enforcement actions as necessary.
