Georgia’s Fulton County Board of Health is seeking a qualified PH Envir Compl Specialist 1 to inspect facilities, investigate health-related complaints, and assist with environmental health reviews in the North Fulton District (Alpharetta). The role supports public health goals with a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with 27 semester or 40 quarter hours in laboratory sciences (e.g., chemistry, biology, geology, physics).
• Requires ability to synthesize data and apply management principles.
• Ability to function in managerial capacity and exercise judgment in critical situations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect food service establishments, public pools, tourist accommodations, body art, and onsite sewage systems.
• Investigate complaints related to rodents and mosquitoes within regulated facilities.
• Assist with plan reviews and enforce compliance when necessary.

The agency is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of PH Envir Compl Specialist 1 within the Fulton County Board of Health in the Community Health Services/Environmental Health Division. This position will be stationed in our North Fulton District office in Alpharetta.

Inspect various types of food service establishments, public swimming pools, tourist accommodations, body art establishments, and onsite sewage management systems. Investigate complaints related to rodents, and mosquitoes within regulated facilities. May assist with rev viewing plans and recommending enforcement action as necessary.
