Job summary

NYC Health Department is seeking a Field Operations Training Coordinator for the Bureau of Emergency Field Operations. This full-time role designs and delivers training programs for emergency responses, coordinates delivery with planners and stakeholders, and ensures alignment with current response plans.

The position leads trainings, recruits and Onboards facilitators, and contributes to program evaluation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in emergency management, public health, disaster management, or related field with 1 year of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination with at least 1 year in related area.
• Strong writing, communications and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop emergency field operations training programs.
• Coordinate and manage the delivery of training programs.
• Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, techniques and best practices.
• Work closely with planners and external stakeholders to ensure training aligns with current plans.
• Assist in developing and implementing a training program evaluation framework.
• Monitor employee performance and compliance to training programs.
• Lead facilitator recruitment, onboarding and engagement for trainings.
• Assist in facilitator evaluation program development.
• Serve in an emergency role for public health emergencies as needed.
• Participate in Bureau-led drills and exercises.
