Job summary

The City of Grove is seeking a Public Health Educator II to coordinate health program presentations and education needs for the community. Under general direction, you will prioritize education initiatives and support various health projects.

Responsibilities include developing plans, training staff, evaluating programs, writing reports, and speaking before public groups to promote health education and inform the community. Some travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health education or a related field plus three years of experience in health education.
• Experience substituting for education: up to four years.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and prioritize health program presentations and education needs of the community.
• Develop, evaluate and coordinate plans and criteria for projects and activities.
• Train personnel and assist in evaluations.
• Write informational reports and conduct public information/education programs.
• Speak as a city representative before public groups.
