Job summary

Sauk County is seeking a Health Educator for the Public Health Department to develop, implement, and evaluate health education programs across community settings. The role involves coordinating community needs assessments, CHIP/CHA processes, and grant writing to support program funding.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in health education or public health, a Wisconsin driver’s license, and 4+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Community Health Education, Public Health, or related field.
Valid Wisconsin State Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
4+ years of experience in public health, health education, grant administration, policy/planning, public health preparedness, or related areas.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, evaluate, and report on specific educational programs and policies to meet identified community needs.
Prepare and conduct public health educational programs across community settings to meet department goals.
Assess community health needs by collecting and analyzing local data with stakeholders.
Lead CHA/CHIP processes and produce related reports.
Coordinate departmental communications, social media, and outreach efforts.
Seek funding opportunities and assist in grant writing for new initiatives.
