DRT Strategies, Inc. is seeking a Public Health Data Scientist to work with public health data analysts, epidemiologists, and developers.

You will clean, organize, and provide recommendations on data for public health surveillance systems using Python, SAS, R, or SQL, preparing data for visualization and interaction. The role involves accessing public health databases and data structures, and encoding data for import and analysis.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in data related roles.
• Experience with data extraction, cleansing, and analysis.
• Familiarity with OLAP environments and data frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Develop and implement advanced data management systems design, or redesign, to utilize new technology.
• Gathers, analyzes, and cleanses public health and geospatial data sets.
• Applies analytical, statistical, and programmatic approaches to data.
• Develops, codes, tests, and maintains database programs.
• Maintains data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy.
• Research and enable processing of structured and unstructured data to derive patterns, trends, and correlations and to enable entity extraction, disambiguation, common operating picture solutions, visualization, and other data-related support.
• Implements improvements to data entity extraction, entity resolution, pattern extraction, link analysis, human and social-network links/connections, cloud online analytical processing, data frameworks, visualization support, and related algorithms.
• Creates, modifies, and maintains software capabilities that extract insight from data, to include information, software applications, machine learning models, automation, and other software components.
• Stays informed of the ways the organization uses its data and recommends emerging techniques and technologies to enhance data use.
