Job summary

Morph Enterprise in Lincoln, NE seeks a Public Health Data Governance Analyst to lead data governance and data management practice development within the Public Health Division. You will collaborate with Data Stewards, Owners, and IT to curate metadata in Collibra and promote its adoption across the organization.

You will help create SOPs, standards, and procedures, document data lineage, and develop metrics on metadata completeness and governance adoption, enabling trusted data for reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Data Management, Business, Analytics, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• Knowledge of data governance, data stewardship, metadata management, data catalogs, business glossaries, and data quality practices.
• Hands-on experience with Collibra strongly preferred, including training business users, curation and maintenance of data assets, metadata, business glossaries, and related governance content.
• Excels at analytical, organizational, facilitation, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Building effective relationships with Business and Data Stewards, subject matter experts, and technical stakeholders to gather, validate, and maintain business and technical metadata.
• Exposure to Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, ArcGIS, or similar data and analytics platforms is preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining process documentation, standards, procedures, guidelines, or SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Data Catalog and Metadata Management: gather, document, validate, and maintain metadata.
• Data Stewardship: support population, maintenance, and quality of the data catalog.
• Data Governance Support: develop, document, review, and maintain governance standards and SOPs; document data lineage and relationships.
• Develop and maintain metrics and reports related to metadata completeness, stewardship activities, data quality, and governance adoption.
• Collaborate with programs, data engineering, analytics, IT, privacy, security, and other stakeholders to incorporate governance practices.
