Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Public Health in Phoenix seeks an Administrative Clerk for the STI/HIV Program to enter reportable data into ADHS PRISM databases, manage disease data, and assist with case management and follow‑up activities to identify and control STIs and HIV.

The role supports data quality, prepares written reports, and coordinates outreach, with required travel to conferences and trainings; a high school diploma and data entry experience are needed, along with competency in

Qualifications

• Six months of data entry experience
• High school diploma or GED
• Equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education
• Two years of data entry experience in a medical environment is preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word; PRISM Case Management System knowledge; bilingual in English and Spanish

Responsibilities

• Enters and maintains STI/HIV morbidity, case, interview, field services, and treatment data in ADHS PRISM and other STI/HIV databases
• Reviews case records for completeness and accuracy
• Reviews test results and treatment information to verify adequacy of treatment and follow-up
• Disseminates STI/HIV health and patient data to program managers for monitoring and trends
• Processes and routes communicable disease reports and documentation for data entry and reporting
• Maintains confidential STI/HIV records per procedures
• Supports outreach activities by registering clients and maintaining records
