Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Public Health seeks an Administrative Clerk for the STI & HIV Program in Phoenix. You will enter and manage STI/HIV data in ADHS databases, perform case follow-up, and generate reports to identify trends in diseases affecting the community.

Ideal candidates have data-entry experience (medical setting preferred), proficiency with MS Office and PRISM, and the ability to communicate in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

  • Six months of experience performing data entry.
  • An equivalent combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Two years of experience performing data entry in a medical care environment.

Responsibilities

  • Enters and maintains STI/HIV morbidity, case, interview, field services, and treatment data in ADHS PRISM and other STI/HIV databases.
  • Reviews STI/HIV/Hepatitis C case records for completeness and accuracy, ensuring demographic, case, treatment, and reporting information is documented.
  • Reviews positive STI/HIV/Hepatitis C test results and initiates Health Department follow-up when treatment is incomplete or inadequate.
  • Compiles STI/HIV health and patient treatment data to program managers to monitor, evaluate, and identify trends.
  • Processes and routes communicable disease reports and case documentation for timely data entry, reporting, QA, and records management.
  • Maintains confidential STI/HIV/Hepatitis C records and organizes files per procedures.
  • Supports STI program outreach by registering clients and maintaining records.
