Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a candidate to gather, analyze, and monitor data on communicable diseases within a health district. This role supports disease intervention strategies to reduce prevalence and protect community health.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree with two years related experience, or four years in a medical field; RN licensure with one year nursing experience or experience at the Communicable Disease Spec 1 level.

Qualifications

• Associate degree and two years’ related experience.
• Four years’ experience in a medical-related field.
• Licensure as a registered nurse with one year of nursing experience.
• One year of experience at the lower level Communicable Disease Spec 1 (HCP080) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Gathers, analyzes and monitors data regarding communicable diseases within a health district.
• Ensures implementation of timely disease intervention strategies to decrease the prevalence of such diseases.
