Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health is seeking a candidate to gather, analyze, and monitor data on communicable diseases within a health district. This role supports disease intervention strategies to reduce prevalence and protect community health.

Minimum qualifications include an associate degree with two years related experience, or four years in a medical field; RN licensure with one year nursing experience or experience at the Communicable Disease Spec 1 level.

Job Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, gathers, analyzes and monitors data regarding communicable diseases within a health district.
• Ensures implementation of timely disease intervention strategies to decrease the prevalence of such diseases.

Minimum Qualifications

Associate degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of experience in a related area; or four (4) years of experience in a medical-related field; or licensure as a registered nurse and one (1) year of nursing experience; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Communicable Disease Spec 1 (HCP080) or position equivalent.
