Job summary

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years related experience preferred.
  • Texas Driver’s License in good standing required.
  • Texas Certified Basic Code Enforcement Officer license preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs code enforcement inspections and enforces city codes and ordinances.
  • Schedules and conducts inspections; documents findings and follows up on discrepancies.
  • Issues citations and prepares reports; may testify in court when required.
  • Maintains City records and coordinates with other departments for special events.
  • Responds to public inquiries and educates stakeholders on code requirements.
