Job summary

The Georgia Department of Public Health's Dougherty County WIC program in Albany, GA is hiring Administrative Support staff (Levels 1–3) to assist with daily office operations and patient services.

You will provide customer service, ensure HIPAA compliance, and support infants, toddlers, and pre-/post-natal women. The role includes triage and call-center tasks, with county-wide coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with ability to perform basic office functions and computer tasks.
• Ability to lift up to 45 lbs., and to bend and reach as needed.
• Prior experience in a medical/health setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service and maintains HIPAA standards.
• Works with a multicultural community and supports the WIC program.
• Performs administrative duties (weighing, height, hemoglobin) for WIC.
• Cross-trained to triage, call center, and additional duties.
• Serves infants, toddlers, and pre-/post-natal women; offers low-risk nutrition guidance.
• Follows state policies and procedures; may cover multiple counties.
• Responds to Public Health emergencies when needed.
