Qualifications

• Prior light groundskeeping or custodial experience preferred.
• Regular attendance at classroom sessions organized by the Community Development Department is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning, labor, and maintenance tasks to keep City parks and facilities safe and presentable.
• Collect litter, waste, and debris to support cleanliness and enhance public spaces.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and follow safety protocols.
• Respond to weather-related conditions and assist with snow/ice removal when needed.
• Participate in special beautification or cross-department projects as directed by supervisor.
• Engage in short-term externships to gain cross-functional knowledge.
• Participate in educational training to improve computer literacy.
• Receive guidance to identify future employment or educational opportunities.
• Participate in job readiness activities, including resume building and interview skills.
• Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and the public.
