Job summary

The City of Amarillo is seeking a part-time Athletics Grounds Crew member to perform field prep, landscape maintenance, and facility cleaning across athletic complexes. Flexible hours include weekends and late nights as needed.

Must be 18+ with reliable transportation and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Typical duties include dragging and chalking fields, mowing, bed maintenance, trash pickup, and operation of basic landscape equipment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Field and court prep: drag fields, chalk, rake, stripe fields and move equipment.
• Landscape maintenance: mowing, weed-eating, sod, digging, bed cleaning, using blowers and shovels.
• Cleaning/restrooms and rest areas; collect trash; power wash as needed.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors and user groups.
