Job summary

The Nature Conservancy is seeking a Public Funding Manager for the Enduring Earth partnership. You will coordinate public fundraising plans, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and manage multiple proposals to secure funding for PFPs. The role involves collaboration across regional teams and may entail travel up to 20%.

We value experience leading funding efforts, negotiating complex agreements, and working with CRM and MS Office tools to advance conservation goals globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience leading and implementing multiple public funding proposals and projects.
• Experience negotiating complex agreements.
• Experience with technology in public fundraising (CRM, MS Office, Excel).
• Experience working with teams across organizations.
• Experience, coursework, or training in principles and practices of public fundraising and/or conservation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and serve as team lead on assigned public funding proposals and projects for PFPs.
• Coordinate teams across TNC to support public fundraising for TNC-led PFPs.
• Act independently, exercise sound judgment to identify and solve complex problems; collaborate across stakeholder groups.
• Design and manage multiple projects, budgeting, deadlines, and accountability.
• Evaluate team results and develop recommendations for corrective strategies.
• Ensure programmatic commitments, policies, procedures, and financial standards are met and compliant.
• Travel up to 20% time; flexible hours; minimal physical exertion.
