Job summary

Public Financial Management Inc. is hiring an Analyst based in our Seattle, WA office. The role requires working in the Seattle office 3-4 days per week and includes exposure to a broad range of municipal finance transactions and clients.

You will learn the industry, analyze financial data, and contribute to creating financing options and presentations. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and a demonstrated interest in public finance, with a willingness to complete the MSRB Series 50

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Willingness to submit to a quantitative aptitude assessment and background check.
• Passage of Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) exam for Series 50 certification within six months of training inception.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the municipal finance industry and how macroeconomic events impact bond pricing.
• Use Excel and DBC Finance software to analyze financial information and produce financing options for municipal bond structures.
• Manage debt portfolios and identify refinancing opportunities for clients and prospects.
• Analyze and produce detailed cash flows for plans of finance and borrowing programs.
• Assist with creating rating agency scorecards based on rating methodologies.
• Prepare presentations for rating agency communication, client communication and marketing with quantitative support.
• Contribute to review of financial and legal documents for transactions and projects.
• Assist with RFP/RFQ responses for current and potential clients.
• Communicate progress with internal staff and gain exposure to diverse clients and transactions.
