Job summary

Public Financial Management Inc. is seeking an Analyst to work with clients in higher education and healthcare on alternative delivery/P3 ownership and finance structures and operational improvement strategies.

The role offers flexibility with in-person or hybrid arrangements in the Philadelphia or Boston offices. You will learn the municipal finance industry, use Excel and DBC Finance to analyze financial information, and prepare financing options and presentations for clients and rating

Qualifications

• Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Compelling interest in building a career in public finance.
• Willingness to submit to a quantitative aptitude assessment and background check.
• Passage of Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) exam for Series 50 certification within six months of training inception.

Responsibilities

• Learn about the municipal finance industry, P3 ownership and finance structures in higher education and healthcare sectors.
• Communicate with senior leaders with credibility and independence.
• Learn to use Excel and DBC Finance software to analyze financial information and financing options.
• Analyze and produce detailed cash flows for client plans of finance and borrowing programs.
• Assist with creating rating agency scorecards and prepare presentations for rating agency and client communication.
• Review financial and legal documents for transactions and projects.
• Assist with responses to RFPs/RFQs for current and potential clients.
• Complete assignments timely and report progress to internal staff.
• Gain exposure to a broad variety of clients and transactions.
