Bowling Green State University is seeking a House Manager or Lighting Operator to support concerts, performances, and events in Kobacker and Bryan Halls. The role requires strong customer service and an ability to adapt to dynamic show needs.

The position is a full-time student role with evening and weekend hours; you will supervise and train ushers, set up lobby/entrance areas, run lighting equipment with precise cues, and coordinate with facilities staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a full-time student with a minimum GPA of 2.0.
• Knowledge of theatrical procedures and music events.
• Willingness to work with fellow students and staff.
• Able to lift moderately.
• Able to follow verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn Lighting Systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train ushers for each concert/event.
• Set up lobby and entranceways for concerts/events.
• Run the lighting equipment and ensure cues are executed to specification.
• Assist facilities staff and ushers to provide engaging customer service.
• Inform attendees of Kobacker Hall & Bryan Hall policies and enforce them.
• Distribute attendance forms and usher attendance forms for class credit.
• Assist as needed with technical changes.
• Ensure rehearsal and performance areas are clean and secure after use.
• Other duties as assigned in accordance with standard theatrical practice.
