Midland County is seeking a Collections Specialist to handle the intake and enforcement of fines, fees, and court costs for multiple courts. The role includes interviewing defendants, determining ability to pay, and setting up payment plans while maintaining accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, some college, and experience in collections with strong customer service and computer skills.

Formación

• Knowledge of collections techniques and customer service.
• Working knowledge of computer programs and office procedures.
• Ability to use standard office equipment such as 10-key, copier, multi-line phone and shredder.

Responsabilidades

• Facilitate collection of fines, fees, and court costs for Midland County.
• Conduct in-person interviews with defendants and assess ability to pay.
• Verify information using Omnibase, Accurint, and property records.
• Perform collections on delinquent dockets and document efforts.
• Track payments and establish payment plans; process warrants and recalls.
• Handle public contacts, including confrontational situations.
• Maintain accurate defendant financial information and histories.
• Run daily deposits and maintain court files.
• Process mail daily and ensure regular attendance.
