Job summary

The City of Johns Creek is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead operations, maintenance, and improvements for City-owned facilities. You will manage budgets, lead staff, and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and departments to ensure safe, functional spaces for the community.

Responsibilities include overseeing preventive maintenance, capital projects, and asset management, while maintaining regulatory compliance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor0degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities management or building maintenance.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee facility operations, preventative maintenance programs, routine repairs, and inspections for City-owned buildings.
• Lead and supervise assigned staff; coordinate daily priorities and facility services.
• Oversee renovations, equipment replacements, and capital projects from planning to completion, including scopes of work, RFPs, and directing contractors.
• Develop and manage operating and capital budgets and support long-term maintenance plans.
• Collaborate with departments and Risk Management to address facility needs, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
