Job summary

City of Douglasville Parks and Recreation Department is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager to oversee capital improvement projects, maintain pool facilities, and ensure health and safety standards for public parks.

You will develop maintenance schedules, coordinate with city departments, contractors, and vendors, and lead renovations to keep facilities ready for public use across all seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Parks and Recreation Administration, Government/Public Administration, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in parks, facilities, or aquatic maintenance, with supervisory experience.
• Experience overseeing large-scale capital projects, renovations, and facility improvements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages maintenance, inspection, and repair of parks, recreation buildings, pools, athletic fields, and playgrounds; ensures asset readiness.
• Oversees daily and seasonal aquatic facility operations, water quality management, inspections, equipment monitoring, and health code compliance with CPO standards.
• Plans, implements, and monitors renovations and long-term facility improvements as outlined in the Parks Master Plan.
• Coordinates capital project timelines, budgets, contractor performance, and city approvals with internal departments, contractors, and vendors.
• Serves as the primary contact for planning, execution, and inspection of capital improvement projects.
