Qualifications

• 7+ years of underwriting experience in insurance or related markets.
• Experience in broker community, underwriting and/or corporate risk.
• Strong relationship-building and client-facing skills.
• Creative and flexible approach to risk and market conditions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite in accordance with division guidelines and philosophy.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients and production sources.
• Respond to client needs and provide solutions with underwriters and management.
• Assist management in developing new or potential business clients.
• Become proficient in handling larger, more complex accounts.
• Research and communicate issues related to Public Entity Risk Solutions (PERS).
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting tools, models, and guidelines.
