Job summary

Munich Re Specialty - North America is seeking a Public Entity Underwriter to join the Municipality and Transit team. You will underwrite complex accounts, build strong client relationships, and drive growth within Public Entity Risk Solutions, contributing to a leading specialty insurance platform.

The role requires deep underwriting expertise, 7+ years of industry experience, and proven relationship selling skills.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in insurance, broker community, underwriting and/ or corporate risk market.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and sources.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite in accordance with division guidelines and philosophy.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and production contacts.
• Respond to client business needs and differentiate MRSNA products from competitors.
• Assist management in developing new or potential business.
• Handle larger, more complex accounts.
• Research and communicate Public Entity Risk Solutions issues to stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge of underwriting tools and models and comply with guidelines.
