The State of Connecticut Department of Transportation seeks a Transportation Public Concessions Inspector for the Concessions Unit. You will inspect service plazas, buildings, and operations to ensure contractual and health compliance, often outdoors in varied weather, with daily travel and a state vehicle provided.

Training and certification are required. Assigned to the Newington headquarters with a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualificações

• Five years of experience managing a food service facility.

• Note: management includes owner/manager or assistant manager of food service operations.
• College coursework may substitute for experience per policy.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect concession operations (restaurants, minimarts, vending, gas) for contract compliance, quality of service, hours, staffing and health standards.
• Review service requirements and deficiencies with concession managers.
• Keep records and prepare written reports.
• Investigate complaints and coordinate inspections with other agencies.
• Perform related duties as required.
