Job summary

The City of Lakeland, FL is looking for a maintenance worker to care for public buildings, facilities, and grounds. You will perform cleaning, minor repairs, and set up for events, following established procedures with guidance from a supervisor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license may be required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for most of the shift.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate events by contacting lessees and showing facilities.
• Set up and break down rental components.
• Provide tours to prospective clients and act as on-day contact.
• Perform cleaning and basic maintenance in City buildings and grounds.
• Open/close buildings and ensure safety and security.
