Elk County Children & Youth Services (CYS) is seeking a detail-oriented Fiscal Technician to support monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reporting, contract reviews, and accounting records maintenance using Excel, QuickBooks, and related tools.

The role emphasizes invoicing, budget management, and collaboration with caseworkers, supervisors, and administrative staff to ensure compliance with state and county requirements in a local government context.

Qualifications

• One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work maintaining fiscal/financial records with accounting exposure.
• Graduation from high school or higher education; or an equivalent mix of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and ledgers to support reporting, reimbursements, and other requirements.
• Review and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
• Prepare reports, projections, and updates to support informed decision-making and budget development for county and state needs.
• Submit invoices for county, state, and federal reimbursement and oversee time studies for accuracy.
• Evaluate provider documentation to confirm contract requirements are met.
• Collaborate with caseworkers, supervisors, and administrators in a professional, cross-agency environment.
