Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a Budget Analyst 1 to support the Department of Human Services across Allegheny County. You will process invoices, perform financial reconciliations, and help manage provider contracts and data.

This role offers hybrid work, standard hours 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with telework up to 2 days per week after 6 months. It provides opportunities to grow in public finance and contracting within a mission-driven agency.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in technical budget administration work; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Invoice processing: Review invoices and prepare journal entries and accruals for timely payment.
• Financial reconciliation: Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closeouts and system reconciliations.
• Contract budgeting: Examine allocations and verify accurate entries for provider contracts and modifications.
• Data coordination: Collect fiscal and operational information from providers and internal offices.
• System usage: Work with JD Edwards, OnBase, MPER, KIDS, and CIPS to complete fiscal tasks.
• Project support: Participate in meetings, group projects, and special assignments to help achieve agency goals.
