The Orange County Department of Social Services is hiring a Time-Limited Human Services Specialist I to determine client eligibility for public benefits. You will conduct in-depth interviews, use intake and processing systems such as NC FAST, and recertify recipients as required, following Federal and State regulations and County procedures.

Under supervision, you will assess applicant needs, document findings, and exercise sound judgment within program guidelines.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or social work, OR four years of public assistance eligibility experience with a GED/HS diploma, OR equivalent combination.

Responsabilidades

• Determine client eligibility for public benefits using intake and processing systems (NC FAST or similar).
• Conduct in-depth interviews to assess needs and eligibility and recertify recipients as required.
• Apply Federal/State regulations and County procedures within established guidelines.
• Work under supervision with some independent judgment in planning and completing duties.
