Job summary

The Blackstone, Autograph Collection in Chicago is seeking a Public Area Attendant to maintain cleanliness of all public spaces and assist with lobby presentation. The role reports to the Rooms Manager and requires attentiveness to detail and guest-focused service.

Responsibilities include cleaning public areas, maintaining glass and decor, and driving the hotel shuttle as needed to support guest experiences and property operations.

Qualifications

• Must promote a cordial and caring attitude toward all other department heads.
• Highly motivated self starter.
• Experience in all phases of mechanical/electrical systems.
• Appropriate technical schooling would be helpful.
• Ability to communicate with hotel guests.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning duties in public areas (i.e., wipe down stairwells, maintain all ash urns, clean candle glass), and general dusting of public areas.
• Ensure all glass doors are cleaned and maintained, and responsible for cleaning lobby and its décor.
• Maintain, at all times, a neat and clean professional appearance.
• Drive hotel shuttle to and from various destinations according to guest needs.
