Job summary

Hyatt Regency La Jolla is seeking a Public Areas Attendant to maintain the cleanliness of the hotel and deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

You will greet guests, respond to inquiries, and work with maintenance and front desk teams to ensure smooth operations while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards. The role requires the ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift moderate weights, with AM/PM shifts and weekends.

About The Role – Public Areas Attendant

The Public Areas Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel. This person must have exceptional communication skills as well as superior guest service abilities. This position is fast paced with constant customer interaction and must be able to push and pull a moderate weight. This position requires a considerable amount of walking, and the ability to lift, push and carry a moderate amount of weight.

Guest Assistance

• Greeting guests throughout the hotel with a smile and a warm greeting.
• Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a friendly and professional manner.

Cleaning and Organization

• Ensuring that furniture is arranged neatly and in good condition.
• Monitoring and maintaining inventory of supplies
• Maintaining the cleanliness of all public hotel areas.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate department.

Teamwork and Communication

• Collaborating with other hotel staff members, including maintenance personnel, and front desk staff to ensure smooth operation of all hotel areas.
• Communicating effectively with guests and colleagues to provide a positive experience for all.
• Willingness to support in other area of Housekeeping as needed based on business levels.

Wage Information

The hourly rate for this position is $24.00. This is the pay rate for this position that Hyatt Regency La Jolla reasonably expects to pay.
