Job summary

Hyatt Regency La Jolla is seeking a Public Areas Attendant to maintain the cleanliness of the hotel and deliver exceptional guest service. The role requires strong communication, the ability to walk and lift moderate weights, and a proactive approach to safety and hospitality.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, keeping public areas tidy, coordinating with maintenance and front desk, and supporting other housekeeping tasks when needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or guest-facing roles.
• Strong verbal communication and friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods, and push and pull moderate weight.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a warm smile and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Respond to guest inquiries and concerns in a courteous manner.
• Ensure furniture is neatly arranged and in good condition; monitor inventory of supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of all public hotel areas and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Collaborate with other hotel staff to ensure smooth operation of all areas and assist in other housekeeping tasks as needed.
