Responsibilities

• Cleans rooms, hallways and restrooms.
• Cleans and maintains restaurants and banquet halls.
• Sweeps carpets.
• Empties ashtrays and urns.
• Polishes furniture and fixtures.
• Vacuums and polishes elevators.
• Keeps the front of the hotel free from trash.
• Cleans rugs, carpets and upholstered furniture with vacuum, broom and shampoo machine.
• Sweeps, mops, scrubs, waxes and polishes floors.
• Dusts and polishes metal work.
• Collects solid linen supplies in floor linen closets.
• Maintains housekeeping carts.
• Removes trash collected by room attendants.
• Performs daily tasks in toilets, lifts, back areas, terrace, etc.
• Cleans and maintains all equipment daily.
• Follows a special cleaning schedule from housekeeping control desk.
• Complies with Lost and Found Policy.
• Assists guests in Public Areas when required.
• Maintains knowledge of hotel facilities, hours, restaurants, shops and function rooms.
• Maintains inventory in housekeeping closets.
• Post caution signs as needed.
• Follows departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment such as vacuum cleaners, trolleys, scrubbing machines.
• Adheres to time schedules for cleaning areas.
• Performs spring cleaning as scheduled.
• Authorized to enter offices for maintenance or pest control, carpet shampooing, etc.
